CrossFit is excited to partner with Tennessee-based affiliate CrossFit Mayhem and their online fitness platform Mayhem Athlete to bring a new event to the Service community — the CrossFit Everyday Hero Service Cup and Games, presented by Mayhem. Service members are an integral part of the CrossFit community, so we’ve teamed up with Mayhem to deliver a bigger and more streamlined competition calendar to celebrate our service members.
CrossFit has a long history of supporting service members and welcoming them into CrossFit affiliates around the world. The methodology has equipped service professionals with the necessary fitness to face the demands of their constantly varied jobs. CrossFit has also celebrated service professionals through special community competitions, such as the CrossFit Service Open and the Service Cup, allowing all eligible service athletes to compete against their peers and a chance to qualify for a second stage of competition.
Separately, CrossFit Mayhem has successfully hosted the Everyday Heroes competition for the last three years, which recognizes a similar group of service members and also involves a two-phase competition, starting with a virtual phase and moving to an in-person final for the top athletes.
CrossFit and Mayhem have come together this year to create a single competition opportunity for our beloved service-member community. With this partnership, Dave Castro, CrossFit’s Director of Sport and Education, and CrossFit Mayhem Founder Rich Froning will collaborate on competition programming.
